Rail Trolleys

Welcome to Wolfe Designs Ltd range of rail products. Commencing with an innovative range of rail trolleys developed and manufactured by ourselves here in the UK. The rail trolleys consist of three individual component parts, which can be carried to the rail track and assembled, consisting of a deck which sets the gauge, and application, together with two independent bogeys. Rail trolleys being the first product range in our "trakrat" innovative rail product portfolio, with other projects to follow for rail systems worldwide. As you will see from the "Origins" page, Wolfe Designs are not newcomers to the rail market place.

The rail industry within the UK, not unlike other countries have safety as a prime consideration relating to track engineering work in particular. Overseeing these standards in the U.K is the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB).

The trakrat rail trolleys were designed specifically with safety standards in mind, incorporating a unique disc braking system which easily complies with the standards laid down for rail trolley braking tests. Coming to a complete stop whilst being 100% overloaded, on a wet or dry track well within the test guidelines. The trakrat rail trolleys fully comply with the M&EE Network Working Groups Code Of Practice Document 0018 , (COP0018)
