Commencing with an innovative range of rail trolleys ,dollies (dollys) as sometimes referred to in the U.S.A, or lorrys légers which are developed and manufactured here in the UK.
These rail trolleys / dollies or lorrys légers with their UNIQUE features consist of three individual
component parts, which can be carried to the rail track and assembled, consisting
of a deck which sets the gauge, and application, together with two independent bogies.
Gone are the days of being restricted to certain track guages, the trakrat deck can
be made to suit Narrow, Standard, or Wide.
Rail trolleys / dollies or lorrys légers, form an important part of our "trakrat" innovative rail product
portfolio, with other projects to follow for rail systems worldwide. As you will see from the "Origins"
page, we are not newcomers to the rail market place.
The trakrat rail trolleys / dollies or lorrys légers, were designed specifically with safety standards
in mind, incorporating a unique disc braking system on each bogie which easily complies with the
standards laid down for rail trolley braking tests., and incorporating automatic dead man
breaking once pressure is removed from the brake release handle. Coming to a complete
stop whilst being 100% overloaded, on a wet or dry track well within the test guidelines.

Of Practice Document 0018 , (COP0018)
The rail industry within the UK, not unlike other countries have safety as a prime consideration
relating to track engineering work in particular. Overseeing these standards in the U.K is the
Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB).
